Personal Work

Lucy loves nothing more than an elaborate personal project, especially in collaboration with other artists. Here’s a few things she’s made, just ‘cause. In case you know Lucy only as a photographer, she’s also always loved drawing and more recently has picked up a serious pottery habit. This page is a mix of it all!

Things You Can Eat, From A - Z

A series of 26 images, made from a wacky collaboration between Lucy and food stylist and director, Victoria Granof.

Lucy and Victoria got together once a month to dream up one iconic image for each letter of the alphabet. They shot things (sneaking onto private golf courses with raw eggs when necessary for Toad-in-the-Hole), and then Lucy added illustration touches and Victoria added collage.

Store

Want a signed copy of School Lunch? Or perhaps some pottery (Lucy’s newest obsession)? Head over to her new store and check some of Lucy’s work that’s available for sale. Lucy has never had a store before but she’s excited to fill it up.

— the internet.

no offense intended. fruit is just fun to shoot!

Sketchbook

Lucy collaborated with fashion stylist, Annie Caruso Neville, hair & makeup artist, Susan Donoghue, and her own kids to make this short film. Detailed storyboards started the process, then a studio shoot, then a tabletop shoot…and then sewn all together for the magic.

Things You Can Be, From A-Z

Before the Things You Can Eat series came Lucy’s Things You Can Be, a daily drawing challenge she took on one October (#inktober, anyone?) Humorous career suggestions that remind us all life doesn’t have to be so serious.

Food Fashion

Play with your food. A collaboration with food stylist, Nicole Twohy, and hair & makeup artist, Daniella Shachter.

Yuka | Shellfish

Mia | Spaghetti

Candy ATM

One of Lucy’s best ideas, according to the kids polled in Brooklyn.

Believe in Fairies

Lucy’s whole family deserves credit for this personal project, as they all pitched in on the creative effort while upstate on a family vacation. Her husband bushwhacked brambles with a machete, her dad helped set off smoke bombs, her mom carried extra flowers and mosses from her garden, and her girls consented to wear her homemade costumes and strike poses. Thank you, best family!!

Thanks for checking out this personal work! More will be added as inspiration strikes so check back in 💚
